Easter Cupcakes

 These are fun festive treats for the holiday Easter! These are the cutest treats I've ever made. 
There full of chocolaty goodness and fun Cadbury Eggs. These were so much fun to make!


I got this chocolate cupcake recipe from sallysbakingaddiction.com 
I got the frosting recipe from my friend Evy.

Chocolate Cupcake Recipe 


  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour 
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder 
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
  • 2 large eggs at room temp.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar 
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar 
  • 1/3 cup vegetable or canola oil 
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk   


Directions 


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners. Set aside. 
  2. Whisk the flower, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl until thoroughly combined. Set aside. Whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, and vanilla together until completely smooth. Pour half of the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Then half of the buttermilk. Gently whisk for a few seconds. Repeat with the remaining wet ingredients and buttermilk. Stir until *just* combined; do not over mix. the batter will be thin. 
  3. Pour the batter into the liners. Fill only halfway to avoid spilling over the sides or sinking. Bake for 18-21 min.,or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting. 


Frosting 


  • 1 cups sweet butter
  • 1 1/2 cups powder sugar 
  • 1/3 cup sweet condensed milk 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla 

Directions 


  1. Cream butter and add sugar. Mix on low speed until smooth past.
  2. whip on medium speed adding milk slowly until light and fluffy. 
  3. Add salt and vanilla. Use more sugar for stiffer icing.


Decorate 

  • Frosting 
  • Cadbury Eggs 
  • Frosting tip #233 or Hair/Grass Tip
  • Frosting bag 

Directions

  1. Put you frosting in the frosting bag with your frosting tip. 
  2. Then pipe your grass onto your cupcake.
  3. Add three eggs onto each of your cupcake 
  4. Time To Eat
